Placework announces the promotion of two new associates, Elizabeth Nguyen, AIA, and Joshua Lacasse, AIA.

Liz and Josh join founding principals Alyssa Manypenny Murphy, AIA and Brian Murphy, AIA as part of the leadership team. “We could not be more pleased to formally recognize the many ways Liz and Josh have contributed to Placework’s development. We look forward to further growth through their leadership,” says Manypenny Murphy.

Liz joined Placework in 2015 and has led projects for higher education, housing, and arts and cultural organizations. In her 10 years with the firm, she has played a critical role in its development, establishing and refining internal processes in project management and design.

Josh joined the team in 2022 after many years serving institutional clients, most recently at Annum Architects in Boston. At Placework, he has taken on projects ranging from major downtown redevelopment to public libraries. Josh leads the firm’s technical innovation, grounded in design excellence.
