Placework is committed to protecting your personal privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information that are collected by Placework on its web and social media sites (“Sites”), and how we use and protect it. This Privacy Policy applies only to Placework Sites.  It does not apply to any websites owned by third parties, even if those websites can be accessed via links on the Sites.

Your consent to this privacy policy.

By using our Sites, you signify that you agree with the terms of our current Privacy Policy as posted on the Sites, as well as the Terms of Use posted on the Sites. If you do not agree with any term in this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, please do not use these Sites or provide any Personal Information to us.

The information we collect.

When you visit, we will not collect any Personal Information about you unless you provide it to us voluntarily.  “Personal Information,” as used in this Privacy Policy means any information that is linked to your identity such as your name, street address, telephone number, mobile number, place of employment, screen name, and/or email address. The Sites you entered may collect some or all of these types of Personal Information through a questionnaire or a registration/contact form. We do not collect financial or other sensitive data information about our users.

You may be able to post things to the Sites, such as reviews, stories, comments, etc.  In doing so, your name may be posted.  Please keep in mind that if you disclose personally identifiable information or other sensitive data through an online forum, such as a chat room, blog, or message board, this information may be collected and used by others.

How we use personal information.

When you supply Personal Information at a Placework Site, we will consolidate such Personal Information and use it for the purpose for which it was collected (e.g., submission of a request or comment made via our “contact” page) in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may also use it to respond to your comments or requests for information, generate Site analytics that improve our Site layout, content, features, etc., track user activity on the Sites and/or compile user data that is stored in our corporate database and may be used for marketing or other purposes.

Collection and use of other information and use of cookies.

All information on our Site is free to browse without the need for you to provide us with any personally identifiable information. During a normal visit to our Sites, collects other, non-personally identifiable information from Site visitors.  These items are not tracked on an individual basis that identifies the Site visitor, but rather are gathered and collected on an aggregate (or anonymous) basis that includes all Site visitors.  Non-personal information may include information such as tracking the site pages that are visited, the amount of time spent on our Sites, clicks, page views, events, and zip code. Our primary goal in collecting aggregate information from you is to be able to perform site metrics that allow us to improve the functionality, design, etc. of the Sites.  Collecting aggregate information will allow us to track page visits and peak Site usage time, as well as identify popular features, pages, links, etc.

If you visited a related mobile site or are directed to this Site via a QR Code that you scanned, we may collect additional non-personal information which may include the type/model of the mobile device viewing the Site and the mobile device’s service provider.

“Cookies” are data that is stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive when you visit a site. The use of cookies is standard practice, and you will find them at most sites. You can allow or block cookies through your browser settings.

Placework may use cookies to collect non-personal information during your visit to our Sites, such as the particular site areas you visit and the features you interact with at our Sites. As indicated above, Placework does not automatically collect any Personal Information, but we may combine non-personal information collected automatically (e.g., through cookies) with voluntarily submitted Personal Information. Such link may occur only if you provide Placework with Personal Information on our Sites. This practice allows Placework to keep track of Site activity in order to better tailor our Sites and our products and/or services to your interests and needs.

Anonymous information about your computer, such as your IP address (an identifying number assigned to your computer whenever you surf the Internet), the type or version of Internet browser you are using, and the type of computer operating system you are using may also be collected by us using cookies. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address and when you request a page from this Site, our servers log that IP address.

How information is used/possible information sharing.

Non-personally identifiable information that is collected may be used to compile aggregate and statistical data and to measure Site activity to allow us to update our Site to better meet user expectations. may utilize non-personal data on an aggregate level for the purpose of performing analytics on the users’ experience while visiting the Sites.  This analysis does not identify you or your information personally.  A third-party vendor acting on behalf of may be used in this analysis.  Any information that is provided to a third-party vendor is to be used only for the purpose of performing analytics and compiling reports of the data.  The third-party vendor is restricted from using this data in any other way other than to provide these services to Placework and they may not share or resell this data. We do not share your personal information, including email address, with any third parties who are not our agents or service providers.

Except as stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, transfer or disclose your Personal Information without your prior consent.

Personal Information that you provide to us in the course of submitting a request, comment, question, etc. (such as via our “contact” page) may be gathered and stored in one or more of our corporate databases and be used for purposes of contacting you for things like marketing programs or other communications from this website or other Placework programs and services.

If you provide it to us, we may release your Personal Information, including email address, if required to do so by law, or by search warrant, subpoena or court order, or to a third party to which ownership of Placework is transferred via an acquisition, merger, sale of assets or otherwise.

The information and features on the Sites are owned by Placework and are copyright protected. The information provided on the Sites may not be reproduced in part or in whole without the written consent of Placework.

The information on the Sites was prepared for informational purposes only and is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties or representation of any kind either expressed or implied. In no event shall Placework be liable to any entity or individual for any direct, indirect, special, consequential or other damages related to the use of materials and functions of the Sites.

Changes to our privacy policy.

Placework reserves the right to modify the Privacy Policy or Terms of Use at any time on the Website. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the State of New Hampshire.
