Prescott Park Arts Festival
Star space for a seasonal arts festival
Prescott Park Arts Festival’s “green room” provides a relaxing backstage space for internationally acclaimed musicians – from Judy Collins to Lord Huron – to prepare for summer shows in the public park. The 145-square-foot lounge and manager’s office perches atop a standard trailer bed, allowing for transportation off site when the annual concert series is complete each fall.
Simple, inexpensive wood framing and translucent panels create a warm, light-filled environment and an element of elegant privacy within the hectic backstage environment. Local carpenters based at the non-profit Port City Makerspace partnered for the construction of this durable, mobile space.
